Buffalo News Coverage of Plane Crash

The Buffalo News mobilized 75 people to cover the Thursday night plane crash, pulling people off features. The website has youtube footage, blogs. It’s a great showcase for multimedia journalism LINK.According to the Poynter Institute’s Al Tompkins, there’s also some social media coverage. 

WNYMedia has a photo feed flowing photos online, and there is a Flickr feed. Witnesses quickly posted videos on YouTube, and Facebook groups began forming to support the victims’ families and share information. (Facebook login required).”
